A group of us walked through Derby visiting several special exhibitions – A display in the Bosnian Centre showing pictures of the countries most refugees come from, a “handling history” exhibition in the Museum, and Artcore displaying “Life Stories” by sanctuary seekers.

We were privileged to hear Refugee author Gulwali Passarlay give a fascinating account of his journey to the UK which is now published in his book “The Lightless Sky”
Fairtrade ice cream bar “Just-Ice” in Derby Market Hall offered a “suspended” ice-cream to refugees – very welcome in this hot weather!
