  • Last week saw some profoundly moving events in the city for Holocaust Memorial Day, including talks by the grandson of an SS officer in the second world war and the granddaughter of a Holocaust Survivor, a civic reception for the Bosnian Ambassador and representatives from the Ukrainian and Armenian embassies,  two moving services of commemoration at Derby Cathedral, an event at Derby Quad. An Evening of poetry and music 7pm at the Multi Faith Centre  at The University of Derby, Kedleston Road, DE22 1GB at 7.00pm

featuring various works of the Ukrainian artist and poet Taras Shevchenko, performed by members of Derby’s Ukrainian community, including the renowned group Hovela.
